What you need to bring:

1. Fishing license-You must have a Saltwater fishing license. The cost for a license is $8.00 for Washington residents $16.00 for nonresidents. Children 14 and under DO NEED A CATCH RECORD CARD, But it is free. Please remember to bring your license with you on the day of the charter. You can purchase it ahead of time for the day of your charter. A one day license is all you need. Driving from Seatle? I recommend buying your license at Holiday sports, located on highway 20 at the I-5 and highway 20 intersection in Burlinton Wa. Easy off and on, convenient, and safe as the island license dealers may be sold out as sometimes happens. Exit  I-5 and go to bottom of ramp. Turn left unto highway # 20. You will go under I-5 overhead, and come to a light. Go through the light one block and turn left. You will see a low, long white building with lots of decals on it. That is Holiday Sports.

2. Food and drink- Although we have a full galley (kitchen in boatspeak), to
store your food and drinks, the charter does not include meals. It is a good idea to bring a snack and something to drink, as it gets thirsty and hungry out on the water.

3. Cooler- If you intend on bringing your catch home, Captain Monty will
clean your fish for you. After your fish are cleaned, and you see how many filets

that you have, you can go a block up the street to the store and get a cooler and

some ice. The boat has a cooler to put your fish in while we are out on the water, so you do not need to bring your cooler aboard. Also, a company on the island provides a filleting, freezing, smoking, and shipping service for a fee.

4. Warm Clothes- It may be sunny and warm on shore, but out on the water, it
can get brisk. Bring clothes you can layer on and peal off, like sweaters and
jackets.

5. Camera- The scenery is breathtaking. Some days, the Orcas get right next
to the boat as they feed. Also many seals, otters, eagles, a lot of water birds, and

even sea lions at certain times of the year.

6. Humor- A good sense of humor is alwwways welcome on board the good boat
Halcyon.
